Begonia Blue Bell – decorative variety of chrysanthemums with bright lilac flowers reaching up to 15 cm in diameter and featuring a delicate lilac rim. The plant grows to a height of 70 to 110 cm and a width of about 50–60 cm, making it ideal for use as a backdrop for a mixed border or alpine garden.
Flowering begins in mid-summer and continues until late autumn – usually from July to September. Flowers retain their rich lilac hue, while the dark green, lobed leaves add contrast to the bright petals.
Blue Bell thrives in sunny locations and withstands frost down to -12 °C thanks to its hardiness rating of 8. For planting, a depth of 10–15 cm and a spacing of 40–50 cm between plants is recommended, along with regular watering and fertilization every 4–6 weeks. After flowering, faded buds should be trimmed to maintain the plant's shape.
