Tulip Princess Victoria

Commercial Focus: The Triumph Advantage

The 'Princess Victoria' tulip, belonging to the prestigious Triumph class, is a strategic asset for commercial growers. Known for its distinct late-season blooming window, this variety is essential for those aiming to extend their sales cycle and capture market demand after the peak of early-season varieties.

Key Cultivation Characteristics

• Class: Triumph.
• Blooming Time: Late season.
• Aesthetic Profile: Vibrant red petals with striking white highlights.
• Structure: Medium-height stems with high structural integrity.

For large-scale operations, 'Princess Victoria' is preferred for its uniformity and robustness. In greenhouse forced-bulb production, it offers reliable results, minimizing the variance between individual stems. This uniformity is a significant advantage during harvesting, streamlining the post-harvest process and reducing waste. Its sturdy stem architecture ensures durability during transit, maintaining high quality from the greenhouse to the retail display.

In field production, 'Princess Victoria' demonstrates excellent resilience against variable spring weather. Its moderate height provides natural wind resistance, making it an ideal choice for large-scale landscaping or field-grown cut flower production. The dramatic bicolor contrast provides visual impact, allowing it to stand out in commercial floral designs, ensuring the crop remains highly marketable even late in the season.
