Tulip Princess Charmaine

Growth Architecture and Morphology

The 'Princess Sharman' tulip is a Ukrainian-bred variety engineered for resilience in local climatic conditions. Its structural morphology features a moderate stem height (25-45 cm), providing essential resistance to lodging during windy conditions. This compact verticality allows the plant to efficiently distribute nutrients, focusing energy on the development of a large, 8-10 cm diameter bloom.

Technical Planting Guidelines

To realize the maximum flowering potential, specific agronomic parameters must be observed:

• Bulb planting depth: 10-12 cm. This depth is the optimal horizon to insulate against early frost and ensure stable temperature regulation for the root system.
• Planting density: 8-12 cm between bulbs. Maintaining this interval is critical for proper air circulation, serving as a primary defense against fungal pathogens during the vegetation cycle.

Light Requirements and Aesthetic Potential

The variety demonstrates adaptive phototropism, developing effectively in both full sun and partial shade. The deep red pigment of the petals is complemented by a distinct, intense fragrance—a feature rarely found in many modern cut-flower hybrids. Thanks to the rigidity of the stem, 'Princess Sharman' exhibits high transportability for cut flowers and maintains structural integrity in decorative garden beds throughout the entire blooming season.
