Tulip Polderboy

Stability and Classic Elegance: Polderboer in the Triumph Segment

The Polderboer tulip is a distinguished member of the Triumph class, long established as a reliable performer in professional floriculture. By combining the classic, sturdy goblet shape with significant resistance to common bulb pathogens, this variety has become the go-to choice for growers who prioritize predictable outcomes. Unlike many modern hybrids that demand highly specific conditions, Polderboer demonstrates proven resilience against Verticillium, Sclerotinia, Phomopsis, and Phoma, which significantly simplifies cultivation management in both field production and forcing.

Visual Profile and Agronomic Potential

• Color Palette: A striking blend of red and orange hues, creating a vivid, flame-like appearance.
• Height: A medium-height variety, making it ideal for cut flower production and standard bouquet arrangements.
• Blooming Schedule: Classified as mid-season, allowing growers to effectively time production cycles for the peak of the spring market.

Choosing Polderboer is a pragmatic decision for agricultural enterprises. Its inherent vigor and resistance to fungal infections minimize loss of planting stock, while rigorous breeding standards ensure high uniformity across the batch. It serves not just as an ornamental plant, but as a dependable business asset where marketability and bulb longevity during storage are paramount.
