Tulip Merry Christmas

Technical Profile

The Merry Christmas tulip is categorized as a Single Early cultivar with specific bud morphology. Unlike late-blooming hybrids, this variety exhibits accelerated phenological development, making it an optimal solution for greenhouse forcing aimed at spring markets.

Biological Specifications

• Class: Single Early.
• Color: Saturated red, highly resistant to photodegradation (sun-fading).
• Habit: Medium-height plant with a robust stem structure capable of supporting the bloom without deformation under wind stress.
• Vegetative Cycle: Mid-season bloom timing, allowing for harvest forecasting with high precision under controlled cultivation parameters.

The technical merit of the Merry Christmas lies in its harmonious balance between flower architecture and root system vigor. The simple cup-shaped bloom retains turgor effectively even during high-temperature periods post-harvest. The medium stem length minimizes lodging risks, ensuring high-grade marketability whether grown in open fields or climate-controlled crates. The uniform sprouting rate of the bulbs reduces culling percentages, which directly improves the ROI of commercial cultivation units.
