Tulip Pandion

Elegance and Resilience in Landscaping

The 'Pandion' tulip, belonging to the Single Late group, is a benchmark for aesthetic appeal in professional floriculture. It is prized for its tall stems and unique coloration: lilac-purple petals contrast beautifully with a pure white edge, making it a favorite for creating sophisticated, multi-layered flower beds.

Practical Applications for Growers

• Landscape Architecture: Due to its tall stature, the variety is perfect for the background of flower beds where a striking vertical accent is required at the end of the spring season.
• Forcing and Cut Flowers: This variety is in high demand for commercial flower production, providing high-quality material by mid-to-late May. Its robust, tall stem ensures excellent marketability of cut flowers.
• Disease Resistance as a Business Asset: Unlike many delicate varieties, 'Pandion' demonstrates remarkable immunity to several pathogens, including Phomopsis, Phoma, and rust. This reduces expenditure on fungicides and minimizes the risk of crop loss or diminished appearance under adverse weather conditions.

To achieve maximum aesthetic impact, bulbs should be planted in well-drained soils. The variety responds exceptionally well to fertilization during active growth. Practical experience confirms that 'Pandion' is the optimal choice for growers seeking a balance between exquisite floral aesthetics and minimal plant protection costs in open field conditions.
