Tulip Noranda

Optimizing Late-Season Flower Production

The 'Noranda' fringed tulip is a professional-grade choice for growers aiming to secure reliable yields at the end of the spring season. Its standout feature is high resistance to common soil-borne and fungal pathogens, including alternaria, verticillium wilt, and fusarium wilt. This resilience significantly reduces the risk of crop loss and the need for intensive fungicide spraying regimes in greenhouse environments.

Practical Application and Management:

• Late-Season Strategy: As a late-blooming variety, 'Noranda' is essential for extending the flower harvest cycle, allowing growers to maintain market presence when earlier cultivars have completed their cycle.
• Operational Efficiency: Due to its robust immune system, this cultivar is a safer option for professional greenhouse operators managing intensive production cycles where soil health management is a priority.
• Marketable Cut Flower: With a striking orange bloom adorned with intricate fringes, it satisfies high-end floral market demands. Its medium stem height ensures structural stability, simplifying harvesting and packaging operations.

For optimal results, growers should adhere to standard cooling requirements for fringed tulip varieties. While 'Noranda' shows superior resistance to fungal infections compared to standard varieties, maintaining proper air circulation and humidity control in the greenhouse remains a fundamental practice to guarantee full plant potential.
