Floradale

Tulip Ivory Floradale belongs to the Darwin Hybrid class and is characterized by its cup-shaped flower with an ivory coloration. The flower is large, up to 8 cm in height and 4 cm in diameter, positioned on a sturdy stem reaching 60-80 cm. The variety's distinctive features include carmine-red spots on the buds, a yellow base with green radial stripes, creamy stamens with a turquoise-blue collar and purple pollen, giving the flower an elegant and attractive appearance. Flowering occurs at the end of April to early May, making this tulip an excellent decoration for spring flowerbeds, especially when combined with hyacinths.

The bulbs of the Ivory Floradale variety have size 11/12 and multiply well, ensuring excellent sprouting. For planting, bulbs should be sown in autumn to a depth equal to three times the bulb diameter in light soil and two times in heavy soil. The distance between planting holes should be 10-20 cm. It is important to observe planting timing so bulbs have enough time to root within 3-4 weeks before cold weather sets in: late planting may cause delayed growth and reduced decorative value, while early planting may lead to premature sprouting and potential damage from frost.

Before planting, bulbs should be carefully inspected, selected, and any damaged or diseased specimens destroyed to prevent soil contamination and infection of healthy plants. It is recommended to change the planting location every 4-5 years and to dig up bulbs annually to maintain the health and decorative qualities of tulips. After planting, the area should be mulched with dry leaves, peat, sawdust, or straw to help retain moisture and protect plants during winter. Bulbs are packaged in quantities of 3 or 25, convenient for various planting scales.
