Elizabeth Arden Tulip is a tall variety from the Darwin Hybrid group, distinguished by its impressive height of 60-80 cm and large cup-shaped flowers. The flowers have a pleasant salmon-pink hue with dark red petals and a purple tone on the bud's back, reaching a height of about 9 cm and a diameter of up to 4 cm. The plant's leaves are dark green and elongated, while sturdy flower stems withstand spring weather, making this variety particularly wind-resistant and resilient under adverse conditions. The tulip is cold-hardy and resistant to viral diseases such as mosaic, and it emits a mild pleasant fragrance.
Elizabeth Arden tulips bloom at the end of April and continue until May, making them suitable for decorating spring flowerbeds, parks, and gardens. This variety looks excellent both in large groups and in mixed plantings with narcissus, crocus, and muscari, and is also suitable for container growing. Thanks to their tall and vibrant blooms, tulips are ideal for cutting and creating striking bouquets.
For planting Elizabeth Arden tulip bulbs, it is recommended to plant them in autumn, during dry weather, at a depth of 10-12 cm in fertile, well-drained soil with a layer of sand or other drainage material at the bottom of the planting hole. The optimal soil temperature for planting is 9-10°C. After flowering and once the flower stems have dried, the bulbs should be dug up and stored until the next autumn, changing the planting location every 4-5 years. To protect against wind and maintain plant health, it is recommended to place tulips in sheltered corners of the flowerbed.
