Tulip Chalcro

Field Performance of the "Halkro" Tulip

Belonging to the Triumph group, the "Halkro" variety is a reliable choice for commercial flower production. From an agronomic perspective, the variety is highly uniform, allowing for synchronized growth across the field. With a stem height of 55–65 cm, "Halkro" rarely requires the use of growth regulators, maintaining excellent vertical rigidity throughout the vegetative cycle.

Maintenance and Harvesting

The key asset of "Halkro" is its dense, cup-shaped bloom and deep red color that resists fading under direct sunlight. For an operator handling commercial harvesting, the post-harvest cold tolerance is significant: the flower retains its shape for 10–12 days in a vase under standard temperature conditions. The harvest process is efficient, as the stem thickness is optimal—it does not damage cutting tools while remaining sturdy enough for transport without breakage.
