Tulip Flaming Springgreen

Genetic Resilience and Morphology of Flaming Springgreen

The Flaming Springgreen tulip is a distinguished representative of the Viridiflora class. Its core technical innovation lies in the specific petal structure: the characteristic green stripe, typical of the group, integrates seamlessly with a vivid white and red coloration. This pigmentation is the result of rigorous selective breeding aimed at maintaining decorative integrity throughout the late blooming phase.

Agrotechnical Metrics

• Phytosanitary Profile: The breeding focus for this variety prioritizes resistance to critical pathogens. The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to Lettuce Mosaic Virus, preventing peduncle deformation and quality degradation.
• Immune Status: The plant features built-in defense mechanisms against downy mildew (Peronospora), which is crucial for cultivation in high-humidity environments.
• Pest Resistance: Genetic resistance to aphids significantly reduces the requirement for preventive insecticidal applications, enhancing economic efficiency in commercial production.

Practical Application

The medium height of the peduncle provides excellent resistance to lodging. Late flowering characteristics allow for an extended sales season and longer display periods in landscape design. Due to the dense structure of the perianth, Flaming Springgreen exhibits superior transportability, making it a preferred selection for the professional floral market. The minimal tendency toward post-harvest wilting is attributed to the hybrid's inherent metabolic stability.
