Tulip Brest

Operating Guidelines for 'Brest' Tulips

Managing the 'Brest' cultivar offers a distinct advantage in terms of phytosanitary resilience. Unlike more sensitive varieties, this hybrid shows natural resistance to golden potato cyst nematode, potato wart, and potato scab. For the grower, this translates into reduced operational costs for soil sterilization and simplified crop rotation cycles.

Cultivation and Performance Specs

As a late-blooming variety, 'Brest' maintains a consistent medium height, making it structurally robust and resistant to lodging even in windy or rainy conditions. No additional supports or complex structural maintenance are typically required. The petals feature a striking bicolor palette of white and red, which performs well in commercial landscaping and floral displays.

• Disease Resistance: high tolerance to soil-borne pathogens, reducing the need for intensive fungicide usage.
• Blooming Schedule: late-season maturity extends the operational blooming window.
• Maintenance: requires standard care, including regular irrigation and seasonal fertilization, without needing specialized technical interventions.

Choosing 'Brest' ensures a stable and predictable harvest, making it a highly reliable selection for those managing large-scale floral beds or private gardens where soil health is a priority.
