Tulip Flaming Evita

Late-Season Elegance

Flaming Evita is a distinguished member of the late double tulip category, highly regarded in the professional floriculture market for its signature peony-like shape and extended decorative lifespan. This hybrid represents a significant achievement in breeding, successfully pairing the delicate aesthetics of its layered petals with robust field resistance.

Agronomic Advantages

A key factor driving the popularity of Flaming Evita among greenhouse growers and landscape architects is its strong genetic defense system. Unlike many decorative varieties that require intensive fungicide protocols, this tulip displays a high threshold for resistance against:

• Verticillium wilt;
• Tomato mosaic virus;
• Fusarium wilt.

This durability significantly reduces input costs and pesticide reliance, making it a reliable choice for regions with volatile weather patterns. Its medium height provides a sturdy stem, capable of supporting the dense, heavy flower head without the need for external support or netting.

Visual Profile and Application

The flower is defined by an intricate interplay of colors: a creamy-white base serves as an elegant canvas for the vibrant yellow flames sweeping across the center of each petal. As a late-blooming variety, Flaming Evita is vital for extending the sales window after early spring cultivars have finished their cycle. It is primarily utilized in high-end floral arrangements and public garden landscapes where a sophisticated, long-lasting focal point is required at the end of the spring season.
