Tulip Dolly Dots

Technical Profile of the Doll's Dots Hybrid

The Doll's Dots tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a product of focused breeding aimed at balancing structural stem stability with strong immunological resistance. Unlike cultivars driven solely by aesthetics, this hybrid serves as a technical solution for professional growers operating in temperate climates.

Pathogen Resistance and Biological Barriers

The core advantage of this variety is its genetically encoded resistance to a range of soil-borne and vascular diseases. The breeding program was designed to minimize the need for prophylactic fungicide treatments. The hybrid exhibits high tolerance to several key pathogens:

• Verticillium wilt: blocking mycelium penetration into the vascular system.
• Fusarium wilt: high resistance to basal rot.
• Cladosporiosis: strong resistance to fungal infections in high-humidity environments.
• Tomato mosaic virus: presence of genetic markers that inhibit viral infection development.

This biological profile makes Doll's Dots an economically sound choice for farms utilizing integrated pest management systems.

Morphology and Growth Cycle

As part of the mid-season blooming group, this variety follows a predictable vegetative cycle. The medium stem height ensures optimal space utilization under dense planting conditions. The color palette — an intense combination of lilac and red — is maintained by stable anthocyanin expression in the petal epidermis. From an agronomic standpoint, the variety does not require specific growth regulators, maintaining vertical stem orientation even under varying light intensity.
