Tulip Daydream

Technical Specifications of Daydream Tulip

The Daydream variety belongs to the Darwin Hybrid class, defining its core agronomic performance: high vigor and climatic adaptability. For growers, this hybrid represents a strategic choice for consistent stem strength and predictable flowering windows.

Biological Defense Mechanisms

The core value of Daydream lies in its genetic resistance profile, which effectively mitigates the impact of pathogens that typically threaten crop yield:

• Fusarium Wilt Resistance: The root system possesses an enhanced protective barrier, significantly reducing losses during both field cultivation and forcing.
• Disease Tolerance: The specific cuticle density and cellular composition provide natural resistance against Anthracnose and Powdery Mildew, reducing the frequency of required fungicide applications.

Structural Architecture

As a classic Darwin Hybrid, Daydream is built for performance. The high peduncle offers robust mechanical resistance to wind stress, essential for outdoor cultivation. The petal coloration is dynamic: the transition from deep orange to vibrant yellow is driven by photochemical processes that shift pigment intensity throughout the bloom cycle. Its medium maturity grouping makes it an ideal 'bridge' in commercial production, allowing growers to effectively manage harvest schedules between early and late-flowering varieties.
