Aster Olga

Stability and Aesthetics in Floral Design

When cultivating the 'Olga' aster variety, the primary focus is on result predictability. The Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing has endowed this variety with strong genetic stability, significantly simplifying routine maintenance for the gardener. The plant reaches a height of 50–80 cm, which is the optimal range for filling the middle tier of a flower bed without the strict requirement for staking, provided the site is shielded from high winds.

Operational Parameters

• Operational Height: Up to 80 cm allows the crop to fill space effectively without the need for support systems.
• Color Dynamics: The contrast of violet and yellow in the 8–10 cm flower diameter makes 'Olga' a visual focal point in the landscape.
• Maintenance: Like any variety from the Center for Vegetable Growing, this hybrid requires standard agricultural practices: consistent watering and soil aeration to ensure oxygen access to the root zone.

Seed consumption is standard for large-flowered asters. In dense planting scenarios, it is critical to respect the nutritional area of each specimen; the 10-centimeter blossoms require adequate space for full development. The resilience of the crop is high: when proper crop rotation is followed, the plant displays excellent vigor. 'Olga' is the preferred choice for those who value color purity and predictable structural geometry in their garden design.
