The winter triticale variety 'Ilona' is a promising crop with a range of unique adaptive properties, making it attractive for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. Studies conducted between 2020–2022 showed that despite significant weather variability, climatic parameters were favorable for triticale growth and development. Variety 'Ilona' demonstrated high adaptability to these regions, confirmed by its stable productivity and resilience to adverse environmental factors. The yield of variety 'Ilona' is at the level of 5.8–6.7 tons per hectare, which corresponds to average performance among tested triticale varieties. A distinctive feature of this variety is its high protein content in grain — up to 16.9%, significantly exceeding the levels of other varieties. This makes 'Ilona' a valuable raw material for flour and other food products, enhancing its economic attractiveness for agricultural producers. Additionally, variety 'Ilona' exhibits high homeostatic stability and selection value, indicating its ability to maintain consistent yield and grain quality under changing cultivation conditions. Low variability confirms the variety's resilience to climatic and soil factors, which is especially important under global warming and changing weather conditions. Thus, 'Ilona' is a reliable and productive choice for farmers seeking sustainable and efficient grain production.
