Winter triticale variety Bogich is a promising crop with a range of competitive advantages, which has attracted interest from farmers for its cultivation. In the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine, where climatic conditions during 2020–2022 were characterized as sufficiently humid and favorable for triticale growth, the Bogich variety showed a yield of approximately 3.0 t/ha. Despite significant weather variability, this variety is adapted to local conditions and demonstrates stability in grain production.
Winter triticale has significant potential for both fodder and grain productivity. Studies conducted in 2021–2022 showed that optimal hydrothermal conditions, including moderate temperatures and sufficient rainfall, contribute to increased yield and dry matter accumulation. In particular, the Bogich variety belongs to the group of promising varieties for enhancing grain productivity, alongside other varieties, which confirms its selection value and adaptability.
Thus, the Bogich variety is a reliable choice for agricultural production in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. Its adaptive properties, resilience to climatic fluctuations, and potential for achieving stable yields make it an important component in the system of winter triticale cultivation, contributing to both fodder and grain production.
