Description BILINDA
The winter triticale variety BILINDA is a promising forage crop developed by Russian scientists and included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements for the North-West region. Plants of this variety have medium heading time, medium or tall height, and an intermediate bush type. The mass of 1000 grains is about 50.5 grams, and the yield can reach up to 7 tons per hectare, confirmed by maximum indicators of 68.5 centners per hectare and an average yield of about 30 centners per hectare. The grain differs in its even shape and curved spike, which helps protect it from rainwater and facilitates harvest collection.

Research conducted in the agro-climatic conditions of the Leningrad region has shown that the BILINDA variety has high productivity and spike filling exceeding the indicators of the widely cultivated Nemchinovsky 56 variety. At the same time, the variety demonstrates a higher grain mass per unit of sown area. However, in some years, an increased susceptibility of plants to root rots and snow mold was noted, which is related to the high infection background of the soil and the proximity of forest areas. To increase resistance and maintain yield, pre-sowing treatment of seeds with fungicides is recommended.

Thus, triticale BILINDA is a high-yielding and adapted to the conditions of the North-West region variety, possessing good resistance to major diseases and ease in agronomy. Its use is particularly promising for agricultural producers engaged in animal husbandry due to high forage value and stable yield under complex climatic conditions.
