Triticale PRIAM

Field Performance of Priam Winter Triticale

For agricultural producers focusing on winter crops, the choice of variety is often determined by its reliability under unpredictable weather conditions. The Priam variety, distributed under the Franz brand, has proven itself as a robust crop that fits well into intensive farming systems while maintaining consistent performance.

Winter Hardiness and Structural Integrity

From an operator's perspective, the standout feature of Priam is its winter survival rate. The plants emerge evenly after the winter period, eliminating the need for expensive reseeding and ensuring uniform field density. The stalk strength is a notable advantage; the crop shows excellent resistance to lodging, even in seasons with heavy rainfall during the grain-filling stage. This makes the harvest process significantly smoother for combine operators.

Management and Yield Expectations

• Growth habits: The variety demonstrates high tillering capacity, allowing it to compensate for variations in seeding rates effectively.
• Disease resistance: Priam is inherently resistant to common grain pathogens. With standard fungicide applications, it maintains a healthy leaf surface throughout the growing season.
• Harvesting efficiency: The grain does not shatter easily, providing a flexible timeframe for harvesting operations without significant yield loss.

Based on the technical data provided by the Federal Rostov Agricultural Research Center and field observations, Priam delivers a stable yield that ensures a quick return on investment. It is a dependable choice for those looking for consistent forage value and grain production performance.
