DescriptionCAPPELLA
Winter triticale variety Capella is a hexaploid variety primarily intended for fodder purposes, silage, and pasture use. The plant is characterized by a long stem and a semi-erect inflorescence, which ensures good stability and ease of harvesting. The ear is white, long, of medium density, and fully awned, with awns of medium length at the tip. Ear emergence time for the variety is medium, allowing it to fit optimally into the agricultural technical schedule of the growing region. The mass of 1000 grains is 46.6 grams, indicating high-quality seed material. Capella variety demonstrates high yield, with an average yield reaching 49.7 centners per hectare, and a maximum yield in favorable conditions reaching up to 69.9 centners per hectare. These indicators were confirmed in the Middle Volga region, specifically in the Ulyanovsk region. Thanks to its adaptability to various climatic conditions and disease resistance, the variety is successfully cultivated in agronomy for obtaining high-quality grain and green mass. A feature of the variety is the presence of a medium waxy coating on the glume of the flag leaf, which contributes to protecting the plant from adverse factors. Lack of pubescence on the outer surface of the lower glume of the ear and medium length of the first ear tooth are also characteristic morphological traits of the variety. Capella is recommended for use as a fodder crop, making it a valuable choice for farmers focused on producing feed and silage.
