Stardust

Tomato Stardust is a compact variety with very tasty cherry-type fruits, ideal for growing in containers and mixed plantings. The plant reaches a height of 45-60 cm, and the round, red fruits ripen in July-August. The average fruit weight is 12-16 grams. To improve pollination, gently shake the stems, and young seedlings are transplanted into pots with a diameter of 12-15 cm.

The Texas Star variety is a tall (about 1.8 m) indeterminate tomato with large bi-colored fruits weighing 400 to 900 grams. The fruits have a round, slightly flattened shape with deep grooves at the top and a characteristic red star on the lower cone. The skin is thin and tender, covering dense, juicy, and very sweet flesh with a marbled pink-red hue and a small number of seeds. The taste is balanced in acidity and features a strong aroma.

This variety is a family heirloom and a pride of the state of Texas, first introduced in the 1980s. It is distinguished by high productivity and drought resistance, begins to ripen approximately 85 days after transplanting, and yields high harvests in the second half of the season. Texas Star tomatoes are excellent for making colorful salads, tomato sauces, slicing for sandwiches, and fresh consumption. They are also used to prepare the famous "Texas Star" tomato sauce for pasta.
