BEAR'S PAW

Bear's Paw tomato is a tall indeterminate variety with a robust plant reaching 1.5 to 2 meters in height. The bushes feature strong stems, a powerful root system, and unusual leaf shapes, giving the variety a distinctive appearance and the basis for its name. The plant forms up to 6-7 fruiting clusters, each containing 3-4 large tomatoes. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to tie and prune the plant into two stems, using seedling planting with 50-60-day-old seedlings transplanted into open ground or plastic greenhouses. The tomatoes of the Bear's Paw variety are characterized by large size and round-oval shape with red color and green spots. Fruit weight varies from 150 grams to 1 kilogram, and they possess a sweet flavor, juicy texture, and are not prone to cracking. Due to these qualities, the tomatoes are ideal for fresh consumption and salad preparation. The variety has a medium-early to medium-late ripening period — from 80 to 85 days — allowing harvest at optimal times. Bear's Paw is renowned for its resistance to various diseases, including phytophthora, fusarium, verticillium, and mosaic virus, significantly simplifying plant care. The variety is not demanding in watering and feeding, tolerates drought and weather fluctuations well, making it an excellent choice for home gardens. Despite its high disease resistance, additional protective measures are recommended to prevent fungal diseases and combat pests.
