SEÑOR TOMATE

The tomato variety 'Señor Pomidor' is a medium-maturing, indeterminate variety with a fruiting period from germination to harvest of approximately 110-115 days. Plants are tall and suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses. For a high-quality yield, it is recommended to sow seedlings in late February to early March, followed by transplanting when the first true leaf appears and mandatory supplemental lighting. Seedlings are transplanted into greenhouses at 50-55 days of age, usually at the end of April, with mandatory staking and training to a single stem by removing suckers and lower leaves, as well as pinching the growing tip at the end of the vegetative period. The fruits of 'Señor Pomidor' are round or heart-shaped, have a smooth surface, and weigh up to 250 grams. When ripe, they turn a deep red color, possess a meaty texture, juiciness, and a strong aroma. These tomatoes are ideal for preparing fresh summer salads, vitamin-rich juices, as well as for pickling and preserving. The variety is characterized by high yield — from one plant, you can harvest 3.5 to 4.5 kg, and with adequate feeding, the yield can reach 20-25 kg per plant or 5.9-7.4 kg per square meter. The 'Señor Pomidor' variety has good resistance to major tomato diseases such as tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, and phytophthora, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various conditions. The recommended planting scheme is 40x60 cm, which ensures optimal space for plant development and high yield.
