Tomato HEAVY

Reliable Early Yields for Commercial Production

For growers focusing on early market entry, the 'Heavy' tomato hybrid from 'Ooo Global Sids' is a robust choice. Its determinate growth habit eliminates the need for intensive staking and pruning, which significantly reduces labor costs in large-scale field operations. With a growing cycle of up to 90 days, it allows producers to capture early-season market pricing, optimizing financial returns.

Market-Ready Fruit Quality

The primary advantage of 'Heavy' lies in its large fruit size (exceeding 200 grams) and superior transportability. The flat-round fruits maintain their shape and vibrant red color during shipping, making them highly desirable for retail chains. Unlike many early varieties, this hybrid features a firm texture, ensuring minimal shrinkage and damage during transit.

Agronomic Management

• Disease Resistance: The genetic resilience to Late Blight (Phytophthora) is a key benefit, allowing for reduced fungicide applications and lowering overall production costs.
• Efficiency: Designed for both open fields and seasonal hoop houses, the hybrid responds exceptionally well to modern drip irrigation and fertigation systems.
• Logistics: The fruit’s firm consistency allows for post-harvest storage, providing growers with greater flexibility during the sales cycle to wait for better price points.

Developed by original breeders D.S. Gladkov and A.N. Semenova, 'Heavy' offers predictable performance and consistent quality. It is a strategic asset for commercial growers seeking a combination of fast maturation, large fruit size, and high shipping resilience.
