PURPLE CUP

Tomato Purple Cup is a medium-maturing variety intended for cultivation in greenhouses, film-covered structures, and open ground with mandatory support. The plant reaches up to 160 cm in height and forms a single stem with removal of suckers and lower leaves. Seedlings are potted when the first true leaf appears, and transplanting occurs in May; under warm weather, seedlings can be planted as early as late April. At the end of the vegetative period, the growing tip should be pinched to improve fruit formation.

The fruits of Tomato Purple Cup are large, heart-shaped, weighing 250–300 g, reddish-brown in color with striking emerald-olive stripes at the base. They are juicy, sweet, and aromatic, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption, as well as for preparing vegetable salads, tomato juices, pasta sauces, ketchups, and various sauces. Each cluster forms 3 to 5 fruits.

The variety is resistant to major tomato diseases, including blossom end rot, which contributes to a stable and high-quality yield. The period from germination to ripening is 100–115 days, with harvest occurring from July to August. Due to its characteristics and versatility, Purple Cup is an attractive choice for gardeners and lovers of flavorful and decorative tomatoes.
