Tomato TREVIN

Why Trevin by Nunhems is a reliable choice for commercial growers

In the competitive market of determinate tomatoes, the Trevin hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Nunhems stands out due to its agronomic consistency. The primary challenge for mid-season varieties is maintaining fruit quality during the final stages of development, but Trevin excels here by offering robust resistance to blossom-end rot. This makes it an ideal solution for farmers focused on fresh-market production, where uniformity and shelf-life are the keys to profitability.

Key Advantages of Trevin

• Harvest Planning: With a maturation window of 120–130 days, growers can precisely manage their harvest schedules for market logistics.
• Market Appeal: The 100–150g fruit features a flattened-round shape with a slight plum-like look, offering the versatility needed for both retail sales and fresh slicing.
• Disease Management: Built-in resistance to various rots minimizes the need for intensive fungicide applications, directly lowering your input costs.

Who is this hybrid for?

Trevin is designed for professionals seeking a balance between high yield and low-maintenance cultivation. It does not require extreme growing conditions but thrives under drip irrigation, revealing its full genetic potential. Its hallmark is the firmness of the skin, which prevents cracking despite humidity fluctuations. If your objective is to deliver a premium red tomato that withstands long-distance transport without softening or spoilage, Trevin is a dependable asset for your operation.
