Tomato Policarpo

Tomato Polycarpo F1 is an early, large-fruited indeterminate hybrid developed by the Dutch company Enza Zaden. The plant features strong growth, a balanced open form with medium-density foliage and medium internodes. Thanks to its robust root system and resistance to stress conditions, the hybrid successfully sets fruit even under adverse conditions. Polycarpo F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected ground, adapting well to various soil types and agroclimatic zones. The tomato fruits have a plum shape, bright red color, and firm, meaty texture. Average fruit weight ranges from 140 to 200 grams, depending on growing conditions. The tomatoes are uniform in appearance with a glossy surface, giving them an attractive market look. The hybrid has an early maturity period — 60-70 days from transplanting — and a prolonged fruiting period, allowing for extended harvest duration. Polycarpo F1 exhibits high resistance to viral mosaic, verticillium wilt, and cladosporiosis, significantly simplifying care and enhancing yield reliability. The fruits withstand long-distance transportation without quality loss and retain their market appearance during storage. Due to their excellent taste qualities, the tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing into paste, ketchup, and juices. This hybrid is a universal solution for farmers and gardeners seeking an early, high-quality harvest.
