Tomato Granadero F1 is an early, tall hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Enza Zaden. The plant is strong, open-type with medium-length internodes, ensuring balanced growth and rapid flower formation. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, especially showing high efficiency under short cropping cycles and plastic coverings. Fruits ripen early — mass harvest is possible within 100-110 days after sowing and 60-70 days after transplanting.
The fruits of tomato Granadero have a plum shape, red color, and weigh approximately 140-160 grams. They feature dense flesh with high sugar content, ensuring excellent taste qualities. The fruits are shiny, uniform, exceptionally dense, and have good transportability, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and processing into juice.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus (ToMV), powdery mildew (Lt), verticillium wilt (Va, Vd), and fusarium wilt (Fol), as well as moderate resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and nematodes (Ma, Mi, Mj). Thanks to these qualities and adaptability to various temperature conditions, tomato Granadero is a reliable choice for organic farming and intensive cultivation in plastic greenhouses.
