NIAGUS

Tomato NIAGUS is a medium-ripening semi-determinate variety with plant height ranging from 1.3 to 1.8 meters. Plants form simple clusters with 3-5 round, glossy fruits, weighing between 60 to 250 grams depending on growing conditions. Fruits have an unusual dark red-brown or chocolate color and feature a smooth, pleasant shape. The flesh is dense, slightly crisp, with a rich aroma and excellent flavor reminiscent of tropical fruits. Due to their density, the fruits are well-suited for transportation and are ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for whole-fruit canning and jarred products.

NIAGUS is a sun-loving variety, optimally developing under a 11-12 hour daylight period. The plant prefers light loams or sandy-loam mixes with optimal soil pH from 6 to 6.5. Regular watering 2-3 times per week using a standard water sprayer is recommended. For bush formation, pinching and growing in 2-3 stems is advised. The first flower cluster forms above the 7th leaf, followed by subsequent clusters every 1-2 leaves.

Fruiting is prolonged, beginning on day 110-115 after germination. Yield in open ground reaches 14-15 kg per square meter, while in protected cultivation it reaches 20-22 kg/m². The variety is resistant to major tomato diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation both in open ground and greenhouses.
