Tomato CRAZY RUSSIA

Stable Yields in Challenging Climates

The 'Krasa Rossii' (Beauty of Russia) tomato variety from the Scientific and Production Firm 'Russian Seeds' is a product of professional selection focused on versatility and reliability. Developed by an expert team including the firm, 'Euro-Seeds', and breeders Z.S. Vinogradov and T.V. Stolpnikova, this variety is highly regarded for its ability to resist late blight, one of the most common threats to tomato crops.

Biological Traits and Morphology

The variety shows a flexible growth pattern, exhibiting both determinate and indeterminate characteristics depending on the cultivation method. This allows growers to manage the plant's height and fruit-bearing cycle effectively. With a maturity period of 90–100 days, 'Krasa Rossii' is well-suited for regions with shorter summers.

• Fruit characteristics: The variety produces a diverse array of shapes, including heart-shaped and flat-round fruits.
• Weight and Color: Fruits range from compact 60–80g specimens to large ones exceeding 200g, coming in vibrant red and pink hues.

Market Position and Utility

In the seed market, 'Krasa Rossii' is known as a consistent, high-performance variety. It is frequently selected for its resilience in areas with unpredictable weather, where late blight pressure is high. The variety does not require intensive care, yet it consistently produces marketable yields, making it an excellent choice for both home gardeners and small-scale commercial producers.

Its culinary versatility, combined with the ability to resist common diseases, allows for a harvest that is suitable for both fresh market sales and home processing. By minimizing the need for heavy fungicide application, this variety provides a reliable and cost-effective option for sustainable vegetable cultivation.
