Description NORTHERN QUEEN
The tomato variety 'Northern Queen' is an ultraprecocious and cold-resistant variety, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover. It is a determinate type plant, compact, with a plant height of 50 to 70 cm, which simplifies care and harvesting. The period from germination to fruit harvest is 85 to 105 days, with fruits ripening uniformly, allowing for a quick harvest even in northern and unfavorable climatic conditions. The variety is resistant to late blight and other main tomato diseases, significantly increasing its reliability and yield stability. The fruits of 'Northern Queen' tomato are bright red, flat-round in shape with a smooth surface and slightly ribbed structure. The weight of a single fruit varies from 100 to 150 grams, they are dense, juicy, and aromatic, with a pleasant sweet taste and slight acidity. The fruit skin is strong and glossy, which contributes to good storage and transportability. Up to 4 to 6 tomatoes ripen on one cluster, and up to 2.5 kg of yield can be harvested per plant. The yield of the variety is 8–10 kg per square meter in open ground and up to 12 kg in greenhouses. For cultivation, seeds should be sown in seedlings in March at a depth of about 1 cm. When planting, maintain a row spacing of about 40–50 cm between plants and 60 cm between rows. Pinching is not required, and staking is needed only when grown in greenhouses. Light green leaves and compact plant size make this variety convenient for cultivation in northern regions and areas with short growing seasons. Due to its cold resistance and early maturity, 'Northern Queen' is an excellent choice for obtaining early and high-quality tomato harvests.
