CHILD'S SWEETNESS

The 'Child's Sweetness' tomato variety is an early-maturing and low-maintenance type, distinguished by compact plant size and excellent fruit flavor. Determinate plants, 30–60 cm tall, are suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary plastic covers. Due to their compactness, this variety is ideal for growing in pots, containers, and window boxes, making it convenient for balconies and windowsills. Plants do not require pinching or staking, simplifying care.

Fruits of this variety have egg-shaped or flat-round forms with vibrant coloring—ranging from red to yellow, depending on the variant. Fruit weight varies from 50 to 120 grams, they are smooth, firm, and have good storability with resistance to cracking. Tomatoes are characterized by their sweet taste, especially favored by children, and are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for whole-fruit canning and processing into tomato products. Yield is approximately 5.5–6 kg per square meter.

The 'Child's Sweetness' variety is resistant to major tomato diseases, including fusarium, verticillium, and blossom-end rot, and is not susceptible to phytophthora. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in late March to early April, with transplanting at the first true leaf stage, and transplanting seedlings into open ground in May. Planting spacing depends on growing conditions and may range from 25x30 cm to 40x50 cm. Due to its characteristics, this variety is well-suited for cultivation throughout Russia and under various conditions.
