Tomato CHILD'S FINGERS

Agrotechnical Indicators and Morphology

The "Detskie Palchiki" (Baby Fingers) variety from the Sedek brand is an indeterminate tomato, specifically developed for intensive cultivation in both greenhouses and open fields. The plant exhibits an indeterminate growth habit, necessitating precise pruning and staking to maintain optimal structural integrity and energy distribution towards fruit formation.

Fruit Biology and Productivity

• Maturity cycle: up to 90 days, classifying it as an early-maturing hybrid.
• Average fruit weight: 20–40 grams, with a distinct elongated cylindrical geometry.
• Color profile: vibrant yellow, indicative of high carotenoid content.
• Yield potential: up to 50 tons per hectare under optimized agrotechnical conditions.

A technical advantage of this variety is its structural density. The thickened epidermis and robust cellular wall composition allow for a shelf life exceeding 30 days, maintaining aesthetic and sensory characteristics post-harvest. This makes the variety a high-value asset for retail distribution and long-distance transport logistics.

Practical Application

Due to the specific portion-controlled sizing and concentrated sugar content, "Detskie Palchiki" is highly sought after for whole-fruit canning and fresh consumption. Implementing intensive nutrition programs and consistent drip irrigation protocols allows for the realization of the full genetic potential of the plant, preventing fruit splitting during rapid maturation phases and ensuring uniform size distribution.
