Description Donald F1
Ultra-early industrial tomato (maturation period 80-95 days from emergence of seedlings). Distinguished by excellent transportability and high flavor qualities. Used for whole-fruit canning, processing, and fresh market sales. The plant is small and more compact than Soleross, making it better suited for high-density planting and double-row cultivation; leaves effectively shield fruits from sunburn. Fruits are round-oval, more oval than Soleross, with an average weight of 45-55 g, and possess one of the most intense red colors among tomatoes. It has a relatively high yield (approximately 90 t/ha). Fruits ripen almost simultaneously. Resistant to verticillium wilt, Fusarium race 0.1, bacterial spot, and TYLCV. Fruits detach easily from the stem, leaving no green "debris" in the harvest pile, making it easy to harvest with a combine. Yield is comparable to Soleross, with Donald showing advantages on nematode-infested soils.
