Timothy "Barpenta" is one of the most in-demand crops for feed and hay production. The variety is characterized by high dry matter yield, reaching up to 95 c/ha under optimal conditions, and late heading, which allows it to be used in both the first and second year of sowing.
"Barpenta" demonstrates excellent resistance to diseases and pests. The plant grows well on wet, peaty, and heavy soils, as well as on clayey soils with moderate moisture. With proper fertilization, yield increases; even at high nitrogen rates, the plant does not "die out", but instead intensifies growth.
The crop is suitable for both hay production and grazing. Thanks to its good green mass and high nutritional value, animals quickly consume it. "Barpenta" is also an excellent companion in mixtures with ryegrass, enhancing the overall productivity of meadow pastures.
