Sweet pea LUMMER

Vertical Gardening Made Efficient

The 'Lummer' sweet pea variety from the FGBNU Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing is a reliable asset for those aiming to transform ordinary fences or gazebos into a dense, blooming wall. From an operator's perspective, this variety is highly predictable: it clings to any trellis with ease, eliminating the need for complex ties and significantly reducing the maintenance time required for perimeter landscaping.

Operational Features

• Planting and Efficiency: This variety responds well to soil preparation. When sown in warm soil at a depth of 3 cm, it produces uniform germination, which prevents the need for reseeding and ensures optimal use of the seed material.
• Blooming: The bicolor pattern of 'Lummer' is not just visually striking; it is exceptionally resistant to fading, maintaining its vibrant colors even under prolonged, intense sunlight.
• Fragrance: A key performance metric is its strong, distinct scent. In recreational areas or near patios, this variety functions effectively as a natural air freshener.

The operational requirements for 'Lummer' are straightforward: regular watering and timely removal of dead blooms constitute the entire maintenance protocol needed to ensure flowering right up until the first frost. Its durability makes it a suitable choice for both professional landscaping projects and residential gardens where stable results without constant micro-management are prioritized. The variety is highly resilient, offering a low-effort solution for high-impact vertical aesthetics.
