Sweet pea "Cascade" – an annual plant growing up to 40‑45 cm tall, that grows quickly and creates a bright floral cascade thanks to large (up to 4.5 cm) aromatic flowers in various shades: red, lavender, blue, purple, and white. The flowering period lasts from June to September, and each pod exudes a delicate pleasant scent.
This variety is particularly suitable for greening balconies, pavilions, flower beds, and container pots. The stems have a curly structure, giving the plant a decorative texture, while sturdy flower stalks are resistant to wind and inclement weather. For successful cultivation, seeds are recommended to be soaked in hot water before sowing, and after seedlings appear – ensure regular watering.
"Cascade" prefers fertile loamy and sandy loam soils, a light and moist location. It is easily grown both by seedling method (sowing seeds at the end of March‑early April) and without seedlings (direct sowing into open ground in the first decade of May). Cut flowers retain freshness in water, making them popular for bouquets. Due to its compactness and bright appearance, this sweet pea becomes an excellent choice for both decorative greening and creating living compositions.
