Super early hybrid for fresh consumption and processing. Distinguished by very high quality of ears. Excellent germination and seedling vigor allow forming a productive plant, and as a result the hybrid is well prepared for stressful growing conditions. Leaf blade width is usually wider than in competitive hybrids, allowing the plant to quickly accumulate sugars and form a full ear. Matures in 70-75 days. Plant height averages 180-200 cm. Ears are located at a height of about 60-75 cm. Ear length is 20-24 cm with 16-20 rows of yellow kernels. Ears are large, straight, with dark green leaf sheath, which tightly covers the ear tip, hindering the access of corn borer larvae. Ears store well. Plants easily tolerate suckering. Vega F1 is one of the best hybrids of super-sweet corn.
