Sweet Corn DMC Jasmine

Practical insights on growing DMS Jasmine sweet corn

When selecting seeds for sweet corn, the main priorities are yield consistency and operational flexibility. "DMS Jasmine" by NVFH "Company Mais" is a solution for growers who need a balance between nutritional value and low-maintenance field performance.

Agronomic performance and development

With a maturity period of 95–100 days, this hybrid is predictable for harvest planning. The plants reach a height of 240–250 cm, with cobs forming at 80–90 cm. This height is ideal for standard combine operation, minimizing losses during mechanized harvest. The 14–16 rows of kernels ensure high marketability and cob density.

Disease resistance and economic value

Plant health is crucial. This hybrid is genetically resistant to common smut and head smut, which drastically reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications. Its resilience against stalk rot is particularly notable, as it prevents premature lodging and crop quality degradation.

Versatility of use

"DMS Jasmine" is more than just dessert corn. It is valued for its multi-purpose utility:

• Freezing: The kernels retain their structural integrity and flavor after defrosting, making this variety highly attractive for the retail/frozen food market.
• Silage: Thanks to its robust vegetative mass, the residual plant material after cob collection or targeted silage harvesting provides high-quality feed for cattle, improving overall farm ROI.

If you are looking for a reliable hybrid that handles agronomic variations well and delivers consistent results across different soil types, "DMS Jasmine" is a dependable asset for your crop rotation.
