Corn RAQUEL F1 is an early hybrid of sweet corn type SH2 (super-sweet), developed by the French breeding company Clause. This bicolor hybrid matures in 70-73 days, making it one of the earliest on the market. The plant features a strong but low stem with a well-developed root system and a large tassel. It is resistant to hot weather and drought, capable of growing successfully on various soil types and with irregular irrigation. To achieve maximum yield, crop rotation, regular irrigation, and weed control during germination are recommended. The optimal planting rate is 45-50 thousand plants per hectare, with each plant forming 1-2 ears. The ears of corn RAQUEL are uniform in shape and size, reaching 23-24 cm in length and 5.5-6 cm in diameter, with an average weight of 300-400 g per ear. The kernels are large, uniform, colored yellow and white, have a tender texture and very sweet, honey-like flavor. They are arranged in 16-18 complete rows, with sugar content in the kernels reaching 22-23%. Harvested yield retains its quality and taste for a long time: kernels remain juicy, firm, do not wrinkle, and do not lose their sugar content. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid is widely used fresh, as well as suitable for freezing, canning, and processing. Corn RAQUEL has high yield, ranging from 15 to 28 tons per hectare, and excellent field resistance. The plant has a balanced structure with wide green leaves and strong stems, forming up to two ears. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected soil, demonstrating good adaptability to various climatic conditions. However, severe drought or flooding may negatively affect the yield. Thanks to its qualities and versatility, corn RAQUEL is an excellent choice for obtaining early and high-quality products.
