Sweet corn CN 206 S is a new generation hybrid developed by the Novi Sad Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops (Serbia). This hybrid is characterized by high yield and rapid moisture release, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The corn's vegetation period is 280 days on the FAO scale, ensuring a stable harvest even in regions with a limited growing season. Plant height ranges from 210 to 270 cm depending on moisture conditions, while the mass of 1000 grains reaches 320-370 g. The grain has a yellow color and a dent type, characteristic of this hybrid. A key feature of CN 206 S is its increased drought resistance and very high lodging resistance. These qualities ensure reliable cultivation and minimize risks associated with adverse weather conditions. The recommended plant density at harvest varies by region: in forest-steppe – 50-60 thousand plants per hectare, in central steppe – 45-55 thousand, and in southern and dry steppe – 40-50 thousand plants per hectare. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 120 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity and economic attractiveness for agricultural producers. Sweet corn CN 206 S is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones due to its adaptability and stress resistance. The hybrid ensures uniform maturation and a stable harvest, which is particularly important for agrarians focused on quality and production efficiency. Using this hybrid allows optimizing sown areas and obtaining high-quality seed material conducive to the development of agricultural production.
