Sweet Corn Rozy

Premium performance for super-sweet corn production

The «Rosy» hybrid, developed by Turkish breeder Yuksel Tohum A.S., represents a high-performance choice for both fresh market growers and industrial processors. Classified as SH2 (super-sweet), this hybrid delivers consistent sugar levels that meet the highest standards of the modern consumer market.

Resilience and field performance

One of the primary challenges in corn production is managing phytosanitary risks. «Rosy» stands out due to its inherent genetic resistance profile, which effectively reduces the reliance on heavy pesticide applications. Key features include:

• High tolerance to Helminthosporium leaf blight.
• Robust defense against viral diseases and various mosaic strains.

With a maturity period of 75–80 days, this hybrid offers a reliable harvest schedule. The ear placement height of 50–60 cm is specifically engineered for efficient mechanical harvesting, helping farmers reduce operational costs and labor requirements.

Market-ready quality

The aesthetic quality of «Rosy» is a significant competitive advantage. The ears exhibit uniform dimensions (20–22 cm in length) with 16–18 consistent rows of kernels, providing an excellent visual appeal on store shelves. The versatility of its end-use is a major benefit: whether intended for fresh consumption, freezing, or canning, the kernels retain their texture and sweetness, making it a low-risk option for producers with multiple sales channels.

Who is this hybrid for?

«Rosy» is designed for professional farming operations aiming for maximum marketable yield. While SH2 hybrids require careful soil preparation and consistent moisture during germination compared to standard varieties, the trade-off is superior eating quality and shelf life. When managed according to Yuksel Tohum A.S. recommendations, the «Rosy» hybrid delivers the reliability and uniformity that commercial enterprises demand to maintain profitability.
