Sweet Corn Joker

Consistency and Flavor: Why «Joker» is a Professional Choice

The «Joker» sweet corn hybrid by Agrobiotrade is a standout in the SH2 (supersweet) category, designed for producers who prioritize both yield and impeccable market quality. Unlike standard varieties, this hybrid maintains high sugar content in the kernels for an extended period, which is crucial for fresh market logistics and sales.

Agronomic Profile

The plant features a balanced growth habit with a height of 180–190 cm, allowing for efficient mechanized field operations. The core focus of its breeding is the ear itself: a length of 24–25 cm is the "gold standard" for retail, ensuring products look attractive on shelves and are easy to package.

• High Productivity: The 16–18 rows of kernels ensure dense filling and a high yield of marketable produce per hectare.
• Processing Versatility: This hybrid performs equally well for fresh sales, frozen packaging, and canning. The firm kernel structure maintains integrity during heat treatment, making it a reliable choice for industrial processing.

Strengths and Considerations

The primary advantage of "Joker" is its technological reliability. Due to the SH2 endosperm type, the corn offers a tender texture combined with a distinct, long-lasting sweet flavor profile. Farmers appreciate the predictable performance when standard agrotechnical practices are followed. However, like all SH2 hybrids, "Joker" requires strict spatial isolation from standard or dent corn to prevent cross-pollination and ensure the preservation of its genetic sweetness.

This hybrid is optimal for commercial farms focused on high-quality produce where uniform, large ears with high kernel density are required. It provides the consistency needed to satisfy the most demanding buyers in both the retail and processing sectors.
