Description GLACIAL
Corn Glacial F1 is a medium-early super-sweet hybrid of white sweet corn, developed by Syngenta (Netherlands). The vegetative period is 76-78 days, allowing for harvest within relatively short timeframes. Plants reach a height of about 190 cm, have a compact but lush stalk, and produce two full ears per plant. Cylindrical ears, 22-23 cm long and about 5-5.1 cm in diameter, contain 16-18 rows of uniform white kernels that retain their color when properly isolated from cross-pollination with yellow or bicolor corn.

The hybrid is characterized by high kernel sugar content, providing a pleasant, delicate, and very sweet taste with a juicy and tender core that retains its qualities even after boiling or baking. Due to its excellent market characteristics—such as snow-white color with a slight pearly sheen and fully filled kernels at the top—the corn Glacial F1 is popular in fresh markets and widely used in culinary applications.

Glacial F1 corn is resistant to common diseases, has good growth vigor and stress tolerance, making it versatile for cultivation in open ground as well as under plastic coverings, with options for seedling planting and irrigation. The hybrid is sensitive to overcrowding and cross-pollination, so it requires adherence to agronomic recommendations to maintain high flavor and market quality.
