Sweet Corn BILLION

French genetics for premium yields

The «Billion» sweet corn hybrid from the French breeding company Clause has firmly established itself in the SH2 super-sweet segment. Designed for the professional market, this hybrid demonstrates exceptional reliability, which is highly valued by both fresh market farmers and industrial food processors.

Agronomic features and yield potential

This mid-season hybrid has a maturity cycle of 85–90 days. The plant is characterized by its compact structure: the stalk height ranges from 160–175 cm, which simplifies field management and increases resistance to lodging. Particular attention should be paid to the quality of the cob — the signature feature of the «Billion»:

• The cob length reaches 20–22 cm, meeting premium market standards.
• Excellent kernel fill: 14–16 rows of uniform, vibrant kernels.
• SH2-type genetics ensure high sugar levels that persist long after harvest, which is critical for successful logistics.

Commercial application

Versatility is the main advantage of the «Billion». Thanks to its firm structure and superior taste, it is ideal for canning, as the kernels retain their shape and color after thermal processing. At the same time, its impeccable aesthetic appearance makes it a highly sought-after product on supermarket shelves and fresh produce markets. By choosing «Billion», growers secure a predictable outcome backed by the long-standing reputation of French Clause genetics.
