Paradox F1

Cabbage Paradox F1 — a late, high-yielding hybrid of white cabbage of Dutch origin, developed by the company Bejo Zaden. The plant features a strong root system and high adaptability, allowing successful cultivation in various agroclimatic zones, including arid conditions. The hybrid is resistant to temperature fluctuations, frost, drought, and also exhibits tolerance to fusarium, thrips, and other soil-borne fungal diseases, ensuring a stable yield and high product quality.

The heads of Paradox F1 have a round shape, dense structure, and gray-green hue. Their weight ranges from 3 to 5 kg, with a short stalk that facilitates handling and transportation. Plants form marketable, firm, and uniformly shaped heads that maintain their flavor and market qualities for an extended storage period — up to May inclusive. Due to this, the hybrid is suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, salting, and industrial processing.

The vegetation period is approximately 140 days from seed germination or transplanting. Recommended planting density is 30-40 thousand plants per hectare. Cabbage Paradox F1 successfully grows both in open ground and under protective coverings, demonstrating equally high yields of marketable produce. Sufficient amounts of mineral fertilizers are required to obtain large heads.
