Sunflower ES HADSON SU

Technological Potential of ES Hudson SU

French breeding by Lidea has produced the ES Hudson SU hybrid, which occupies a significant position in the company's portfolio. Designed for intensive farming, this simple hybrid focuses on weed control and phytosanitary security. In modern agricultural conditions, this hybrid demonstrates the reliability that farmers require in regions with high pathogen pressure.

Phytosanitary Resistance and Genetics

A primary reason for choosing ES Hudson SU is its comprehensive defense system. The hybrid's genetic potential allows it to effectively resist diseases such as downy mildew (peronospora), phomopsis, and phoma. This reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications and minimizes yield losses during seasons with unfavorable humidity. The flattened shape of the sunflower head ensures high-quality ripening, leading to well-filled seeds even during fluctuating weather conditions.

Economics of Cultivation

Working with ES Hudson SU involves the use of the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) system. This technology enables post-emergence control of a wide range of broadleaf and grass weeds, including challenging species that are difficult to manage with conventional herbicides. With an oil content ranging from 45% to 50%, this hybrid is commercially attractive to processing facilities focused on high-quality sunflower oil production.
