VD 110 is a mid-early sunflower hybrid with a vegetation period of 110-113 days, intended for cultivation in steppe conditions using a system with imidazolinone herbicides. Plants reach a height of 160-170 cm, have a dense and thin head with a diameter of 20-21 cm, which dries out quickly. Seeds are large and deep, with a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 60-65 g, and oil content varies from 49 to 51%, ensuring a high yield potential at the level of 38-42 c/ha. The hybrid is characterized by slow growth energy, good uniformity of crops, and simultaneous maturation, which facilitates harvest.
VD 110 exhibits high resistance to various diseases and stress factors. It tolerates drought and high temperatures well, confirmed by drought resistance ratings of 7 points and 8-9 points for diseases such as phomopsis, phomopsis, powdery mildew, gray and white rot. The hybrid is also resistant to rust races A, B, C, D, and E, and its stems show increased resistance to lodging. These qualities make VD 110 a reliable choice for intensive farming in steppe conditions.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to follow optimal agronomy, including uniform planting density and application of mineral fertilizers. The hybrid responds well to vertical main soil tillage, which promotes the development of a powerful root system and increases resistance to adverse conditions. VD 110 is suitable for a production system with the use of Eurolighting herbicides, which ensures effective weed control and contributes to a stable crop.
