The hybrid sunflower "Tribute" is a high-oleic, mid-early maturing variety with a vegetation period of 105-110 days. It exhibits high resistance to false powdery mildew, downy mildew (including races 1-7), as well as to imidazolinone herbicides and the herbicide Express® (Granstar) at dosages of 30-50 g/ha and 1-1.2 L/ha, respectively. Medium-height plants with large leaves and yellow disc flowers, medium-sized, thin, and convex heads. The hybrid possesses genetically determined drought tolerance, enabling successful cultivation even with late sowing or replanting, and suitable for crop rotation as a preceding crop for winter crops.
The oil content of the seeds is approximately 54%, with oleic acid content exceeding 84-86%, making "Tribute" ideal for producing high-quality vegetable oil. Yield varies by region: in the steppe zone, average yield reaches 29 c/ha, in the forest-steppe zone — up to 45 c/ha, with potential yield reaching 52 c/ha. Optimal plant population is 65-70 thousand plants/ha in the forest-steppe and 60-65 thousand plants/ha in the steppe.
"Tribute" is widely used in Ukraine's agricultural sector, covering over 100,000 hectares of sown area annually. Its high resistance to diseases and herbicides, along with adaptability to various climatic conditions, makes this hybrid a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality sunflower harvest.
